The cost of the SafeGard consultation — including your online intake, physician review, and personalized Travel Report — is covered by the voucher you purchase directly from your pharmacy (for example, Costco or another participating pharmacy).
However, the voucher does not include the cost of the vaccines or medications themselves. These are provided and priced separately by your pharmacy.
How pricing works
After your SafeGard physician completes your review, your prescriptions and vaccination orders are sent directly to the pharmacy you selected during your intake.
The pharmacy determines pricing based on your insurance plan, location, and vaccine availability.
If you have medical insurance, the pharmacy will process your prescriptions and apply any eligible coverage.
If you prefer to pay out of pocket, the pharmacy can provide cash pricing for each item.
When to check prices
Pharmacies can usually provide pricing information after they receive your prescriptions from SafeGard.
Most pharmacies cannot run insurance eligibility checks until they receive a valid prescription.
Once your orders are transmitted, the pharmacy can confirm both insured and cash costs.
